Date of birth - August 28, 1947.
In 1970 he graduated from Iv.Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Physics, specialty "solid state physics". In 1983, in Moscow Aviation and Technology Institute he defended the thesis and received the Ph.D degree.
In 1969-1991, he worked at the Research Institute "MION" in various positions (from the senior technician to the head of the laboratory). In 1991-2006, he worked in RPC "Electronic Technology" at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University as the head of the laboratory. In 1995 and 2001, he underwent a training at Fraunhofer Institute IAF (Freiburg, Germany) and in FORTH (Heraklion, Greece). In 2006-2012, he worked as a senior researcher of TSU. From 2012 to this day, he holds the position of the deputy director of the LEPL Institute of Micro- and Nanoelectronics and the head of the laboratory of applied semiconductor technologies at RPC TSU.
He published 49 scientific articles, has 1 certificate of invention, participated in 25 international conferences. He took part in 6 international and 1 national grants as a principal investigator.
His scientific interests include:
-Investigation and development of the technology of molecular-beam epitaxy of A3B5 semiconductor nanostructures,
-Investigation and development of HEMT and PHEMT technology of quantum well transistors as well as ion-radiation detectors and solar energy generators.
